Overview: |
The U08 ASP Training Pool is an introduction to advanced soccer
through additional training that supports the players
recreational experience. Each player in this
program is registered into the FC Cary U08 recreational
league and participates in their team's practices and
games. But, this player pool will also train one
extra day a week for eight weeks during the season with
the Director of ASP (Pete McEwen). This additional
training session will focus on individual skill
development and building each player's abilities and
confidence. Additionally, each training session will
incorporate competitive games to provide the players an
opportunity to apply the skills that have been learned
into game situations. We believe this program
provides the blend of fun and development that these
young players need to prepare for our U09-U10 Advanced
Soccer Program.
Advanced U08 players interested in trying out for U09
ASP teams are welcome. If you are interested,
please register through the U09 tryout process. |

Commitment: |
Players are selected for the program
through a tryout process in the May/June time period.
All players in the U08 training pool will be assigned to
an FC Cary recreational league team (returning players
will be assigned to their previous team). The
training pool will meet once a week for eight weeks
during the recreational league season. With advanced
soccer comes an expectation that the players have an
advanced level of commitment. It is important that all
players attend training to maximize their
development. |

**Check-in

Costs: |
The cost per player is
$150 per season (Two seasons per year coinciding with
the recreational league seasons). The costs include the
